In this week’s edition of the Selket News we had a chance to talk to the team’s sound designer Michelle Fuzari. Michelle talks about her creation process and what she’ll be looking at to inspire her during the Wave One project.
Michelle currently works for Electronic Arts in Salt Lake City and has hopped aboard the Selket team to volunteer and help with audio. That includes sound effects and music; awesome-ness to make the Selket experience the best it can be.

What inspires me?
I play video games A LOT. I love listening to sound designs in video gaming. Right now, I am absolutely in love with Overwatch and I can’t give the sound team at Blizzard enough kudos. Other than that, I listen to what the sound is doing in film and TV. Specifically, for the Selket team I’ll be watching Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: Next Generation, Avatar, Starship Troopers and other film and TV shows to help get me in the mindset of Selket.
For music, I’ll listen to a lot of soundtracks from film, tv, and video games to get into the composing mood. I love listening to John Williams, Bill Brown, Jeremy Soule, Joe Hisaishi, Two Steps From Hell, Chopin, Dvořák, and many others.
