Mark Mensch has been involved in larping for the last 25 years. With a background in creative writing, theatre and stage magic, he created a game that was more about immersion and story lines than hit points and magic items. He ran the game from 1994 - 2001 until he sold it and it's still running under another name today. Since then he's been researching and experiencing larps in North America and Europe. He also consults on various games, creates props and weapons for larpers on his Etsy site larpgear and attend various conventions to give panels on the community.
With his unique background, Mark will be producing various props and set pieces to help create the atmosphere for Wave One. His goal is to create an interactive setting that will help create an immersive experience. His hope is that, if even for only one brief moment during the event, people will actually feel as if they are on an actual spacecraft performing tasks to keep the ship and its crew safe.
Over the last few weeks Mark has been working on a series of interactive props that will be utilized by the ships engineering department. The prop will generate issues throughout the game that will require actual physical repairs to get functioning again! Pictures soon :)!
